Huzzah

Better Said Than Done is celebrating our 15 year anniversary this September. We have an online storytelling show coming up on September 24th, “Hip, Hip, Hooray,” with an all-star, nationally acclaimed cast.

Read about Hooray and get tickets here.

We recently hosted a celebration on our home turf of Northern Virginia with a show at Jammin’ Java, in Vienna, VA called Huzzah! The show featured a who’s who of DC, VA, and MD – DMV – storytellers. With emcee Bonnie Gardner and storytellers Nick Baskerville, J.R. Denson, John Kreul, Carol Moore, Joe Morice, Miriam Nadel, Ravi Pimplaskar, Jessica Robinson, and Delegate Holly Siebold, Huzzah was a show not to be missed. BUT, if you did somehow miss it, you can still watch the recording.

The lighting and sound at Jammin’ Java are wonderful, thanks to an awesome staff. And the video quality is what you are used to in our live-stream events, such as the Women’s Storytelling Festival. Here’s a little preview.

I was so grateful to share the stage with these wonderful storytellers, and to hear all of their incredible stories. Bonnie did a fabulous job emceeing, not only introducing each teller with love, but sprinkling fun facts about the history of Better Said Than Done.

I have had the honor of sharing our stage – virtual or in-person – and hearing stories from 100s of storytellers over the past 15 years. Part of the reason we produced two storytelling shows to celebrate our 15 year anniversary is because that is our current model. We have shows in the DMV, and we have shows online. The other reason we are having this blow-out month of celebrations is to try to raise a little money to keep Better Said Than Done shows going for the next 15 years.

I hope you will attend Hip, Hip, Hooray. It will be fantastic. If you attended Huzzah – thank you! Feel free to leave a comment as I know you experienced an amazing show. If you were unable to attend live and are feeling the FOMO, then check out the recording. And thank you. Thank you for your support over the past 15 years, and for all the years to come. HUZZAH!
