I’ve been trying to pull our 12 years of blog posts off our old website to archive here. So far, it’s still a hope and not an accomplishment. But as I was looking through the new pages I realized that, in waiting for that to happen, no one has posted anything here, on this blog. Partly that is because new events are our main subject of blog posts and this website has an event calendar. You can find ALL of our upcoming events – storytelling shows, workshops, the Women’s Storytelling Festival, and more – on our event calendar page here.

But because there’s so much going on, here’s a few snippets from our latest newsletter to start you off.

On October 5th, 2024,  join Better Said Than Done for Hold Please: stories of service and the customer experience, with Emcee Carol Moore and storytellers Lona Bartlett, Claire Crook, Bill Grella, John Kreul, Ravi Pimplaskar, Jack Scheer, and Cyndi Wish!

In-Person at Clare and Don’s Beach Shack, 130 N. Washington St, Falls Church, VA.

6:00pm Show Starts / Doors open at 5:30pm.

A full dinner and bar menu is available.

Advance Purchase Recommended. Details and Tickets Here

Join Better Said Than Done, Northeast Storytelling/NEST, and Six Feet Apart Productions online on October 6, 2024, for a storytelling concert to raise money to provide relief to those in the path of Hurricane Helene.

The concert features storytellers Norm Brecke, Alton Chung, Willy Claflin, Lyn Ford, Kevin Kling, Brandon Leake, Anne Rutherford, Regina Stoops, & Donna Washington, and emcees Claire Hennessy, Jessica Robinson, and Linda Schuyler Ford. With Michael P. Carson, President of the International Storytelling Center.

This event is free and open to the public. Links to Donate and the Link to Watch HERE.

We have many more events coming up – a scary storytelling concert online on October 17, an author event with stories on October 22nd, a family friendly story time at Halloween in the Park on October 25th, and adult scares at the haunted MLK Library in DC on October 29th. Find all that and more by subscribing to our newsletter or following our events calendar. And maybe, for tuning in to our blog every once and a while.
