Bree Fram has been a prominent voice on inclusive leadership and public service during her career as an aerospace engineer, author, and former Space Force colonel. She co-hosts the Forged in Fire podcast and champions values-driven change to strengthen democracy and opportunity for all. She is particularly well-known for her advocacy for transgender and LGBTQ+ military personnel.
Sherry Grimes brings a lifetime passion for the arts to her support of organizations ranging from Better Said Than Done to The Moth. She brings the same tireless energy to her career at Grimm & Parker Architects, where she supports meaningful and empowered projects. She is devoted to using her passion and good cheer to help make northern Virginia and the entire Washington, D.C. region a better place.
Carol Moore loves to educate and entertain, both as a professional storyteller and a public speaking coach. She brings an authentic voice to her performances, which have included the National Storytelling Festival, the Women’s Storytelling Festival, the Moth, Story District, Tales and Ales, Six Feet Apart Productions, and numerous others. She has coached TED speakers, competed in public speaking competitions with Toastmasters International, and presented at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. She brings her comedic, conversational, and authentic style to everything she does.
Miriam Nadel is a storyteller, genealogist, craftswoman, and retired satellite systems engineer. She has told folktales, personal stories, and original stories for over 35 years at venues ranging from the Washington Folk Festival and Better Said Than Done to a Hollywood art gallery and a campground in the Empty Quarter of Oman. She is on the boards of Better Said Than Done and Voices in the Glen. She insists that MC really stands for Miriam of Ceremonies. All of the stories she tells are true, whether or not they happened that way.
Mayor Catherine S. Read is serving her second term as Mayor of Fairfax City. She first performed on stage as a five-year-old and continued doing live theatre throughout elementary and high school, including with various local theaters in Roanoke, Virginia. She continues to be a passionate theatre patron who claims that New York City is her spiritual home. She also enjoys spending many hours listening to The Moth.
Jessica Robinson is the Founder and Executive Director of Better Said Than Done. She has been producing storytelling shows since 2011. She received a 2023 Oracle Award for regional service and leadership from the National Storytelling Network. Her performances have included the National Storytelling Festival Exchange Place, WGBH’s Stories from the Stage, Artists Standing Strong Together, Six Feet Apart Productions, Risk!, and three National Storytelling Network conferences. She’s been featured at several festivals, including the Washington Folk Festival, Stone Soup, the Hampton Storytelling Festival, and the Florida Storytelling Festival. She is also the author of the memoir, Stages: My Life in Stories.
Holly Seibold has served in Virginia’s House of Delegates since 2022, where she is proud to represent the Commonwealth’s 12th District. She chairs the Technology and Innovation Subcommittee and serves on several key House subcommittees. She is a leader within the House Democratic Caucus and serves as both Caucus Secretary and Deputy Whip. After starting her career in the nonprofit sector, she became a Fairfax County Public School teacher and founded an educational consulting firm specializing in STEM programming. In 2015, she founded BRAWS, a nonprofit which provides menstrual supplies and undergarments to women and girls in need. She has been active in numerous community organizations across Northern Virginia, including PTAs, youth sports leagues, and advisory and advocacy boards. She has received numerous awards for her activism and innovative leadership.
Jenn White is an award-winning journalist and podcast host, best known for hosting 1A, a nationally syndicated daily news program from WAMU and NPR. Her fast-growing program is carried by over 460 stations around the country and reaches over 3.4 million listeners weekly. She has also been heard on several radio podcasts, including Making Oprah, Making Obama, and 16 Shots, which chronicled the police shooting of Laquan McDonald and the subsequent trial of Chicago police officer Jason Van Dyke.

The 2026 Women’s Storytelling Festival kicks off March 19 at 8:00pm Eastern/5:00pm Pacific with a virtual only showcase. The in-person storytelling starts at 7:00pm Eastern on March 20 and runs through the evening of March 22, 2026.
