Women in America 250

THIS MOMENT IN HISTORY

🇺🇸 America at 250

In 2026, the United States marks 250 years of independence. Across the country, institutions are celebrating the nation’s founding.

At the Women’s Storytelling Festival, we are asking a different question:

What would America look like if we listened to its story through women’s voices?

For generations, greatness has been defined through conquest and legislation. But history also lives in classrooms and kitchens, hospitals and churches, friendships and families.

Women have shaped every era of American life, often without recognition.

This year’s festival includes stories marking 250 years of American history, from Native American activism to suffrage, from personal ancestry discoveries to the overlooked contributions that quietly shaped the nation.

When women tell history, something changes.

Perspective deepens. Humanity expands. Understanding grows.

Listening does not rewrite history. It completes it.
